Model 06 - Four Poster Solid Oak Bed

Model 06 Four Poster Solid Oak Bed

The Model 06 Four Poster Solid Oak Bed is a customer favourite, bringing a touch of timeless luxury to your bedroom. Handcrafted to order in Yorkshire, UK, from sustainably sourced solid oak, this statement bed combines traditional craftsmanship with a design that works beautifully in both classic and contemporary interiors. The natural grain and warmth of solid oak make it a striking centrepiece for any bedroom.

With 25cm of clearance underneath, the Model 06 provides practical space for under-bed storage while keeping your bedroom calm and clutter-free. Matching under-bed drawers can be purchased separately. The elegant four-poster frame also allows curtains to be draped over the top, creating a cosy, intimate retreat for a more luxurious feel.

At The Wooden Bed Company, we don't believe in fast furniture. We understand the value of quality craftsmanship and carefully chosen materials, which is why the Model 06 is designed to be more than just a bed frame. Built to become a lasting feature in your home, it combines enduring style with the strength and durability of solid oak.

Every bed is handmade to order by our skilled craftsmen in Yorkshire, UK, and comes with a 12-year guarantee, reflecting our commitment to quality and long-lasting construction.

One of the defining features of our handmade solid oak beds is the use of precision-machined mortise and tenon joints. Rather than relying on unreliable clip-together hardware, we use traditional joinery methods to create strong, precise connections that provide exceptional stability. Despite its impressive design, assembly is straightforward, and you can visit our installation tab to see just how simple the process is.

The solid oak frame is paired with strong, supportive pine slats, providing a dependable base for your mattress. We use pine for the slatted base because it is a practical choice for mattress support, allowing us to reserve the natural beauty and distinctive grain of solid oak for the main structure of the bed.

Combining traditional craftsmanship, practical storage and the natural beauty of solid oak, the Model 06 Four Poster Bed is a timeless statement piece designed to bring character, comfort and lasting quality to your bedroom.

Prefer a more affordable alternative? The Model 06 is also available in beautiful, solid Scandinavian pine. With the same striking four-poster design and expert craftsmanship at a lower price point, it's a lovely alternative if you prefer the lighter look of pine. Discover our solid Scandinavian pine four-poster bed here.
