Deeply Luxurious
Walnut is one of the most sought-after types of wood. This demand places it firmly within dream territory for many homeowners, but that needn’t be the case. With our walnut wooden beds, you can get your very own taste of luxury without the high price tag.
Handmade at our own UK facility, we use tried and tested carpentry techniques to create bed frames that you’ll adore. Combined with a high-quality, reliable lacquer, these beds not only look great, but they’ll last for years and years. See our whole selection above.
Why Choose a Walnut Wooden Bed?
Our walnut frames are adored by many thanks to their premium appearance and deep, subdued tones. But there are many other reasons to pick a walnut bed, such as:
Affordability: Compared to a genuine walnut bed, our stained oak or pine options provide a much more cost-effective alternative. You get the same aesthetic and durability, without the high price.
A statement piece: With its bold, dark colouring, a walnut wooden bed makes a statement in any room that it’s placed. As a focal point tying the room together, walnut is a great option for making a splash.
Durability: Available in either oak or pine materials, we pride ourselves on the resilience of our walnut bed frames. As mentioned, we only use reliable carpentry techniques to build our frames, including the use of mortise and tenon joints, to produce a solid structure that lasts a lifetime of use.
Walnut Wooden Bed Materials
Despite the name, our walnut beds aren’t made from walnut itself. Instead, we use a high quality stain to achieve the dark-coloured appearance, using either oak or pine as the base wood.
Oak Walnut Wooden Beds: Oak is a hardwood, renowned for its versatility and strength. When stained, our walnut finish highlights the knots and grain of the oak, leading to a unique finish that is truly bespoke to you.
Pine Walnut Wooden Beds: Like our oak selection, our pine wooden beds can also be stained to achieve a variety of different styles and finishes, including walnut.
Walnut Wooden Bed Styles
Our wooden bed collection spans many different styles and sizes, each available in a walnut finish:
Standard Height Beds: Designed to be easily accessible, our standard height beds have a footboard height of 40 cm, making them easy to use.
Low Wooden Beds: Offering a unique design that’s great for low ceilings, our low wooden beds are both functional, and stylish.
Platform Beds: With a firm, supportive base beneath the mattress, our platform beds offer a sturdy night’s sleep.
Beds With Headboards: For a traditional look, we offer most bed designs either with or without a headboard built in, allowing you to customise your frame to suit your preferences.
Ottoman Storage Beds: Ottoman beds are the ultimate choice for bedroom storage. They feature a lifting base which reveals full length and width storage underneath the mattress.
Oak Bed Frames: Oak is a tried and tested material for furniture making. As a hardwood, it features densely packed fibres which help it last years of use.
Four Poster Beds: This is our take on a classic bed frame. With a thin profile design, we’ve modernised the traditional four poster bed for the 21st century.
Live Edge Bed Frames: Our live edge bed frames celebrate the natural imperfections of the wood from which they’re cut.
Walnut Wooden Bed Sizes
We’ve catered for every standard UK bed size across our walnut bed range. From single beds for children’s bedrooms to emperor frames that are fit for royalty - you can find it all, with us.

Maintaining Your Walnut Bed
Thanks to our commitment to only the highest quality materials, maintaining your walnut bed frame is simple. Our protective lacquer weathers the impact of the daily scuffs and scrapes of daily life, so all you need to do is wipe away any blemishes that you see.
Simply using a clean, damp cloth should handle most issues. However, be sure to avoid any harsh chemicals, as these may strip the lacquer from the frame, or at least damage it.
Other Stain Options
While walnut is great for darker bedrooms, sometimes, you might want something a touch lighter to help enhance the size of the space. As such, we have a range of lighter shades available in our collection:
Unfinished Wooden Beds: Prefer a raw, unfinished appearance? Our beds can even be supplied without a stain or lacquer if you desire.
White Wooden Beds: To enhance the perceived size of a space, going lighter is generally better, and there’s nothing lighter than white.
Light Wooden Beds: For a light and airy aesthetic, our light stain is the perfect choice.
Medium Wooden Beds: Offering the perfect blend between dark and light, a medium bed frame creates an inviting, cosy vibe in the bedroom.
Black Wooden Beds: To create a statement, black does the trick. Our black stain hides scuffs and marks, while offering a subdued look.
As well as this, we also offer a premium finish selection thanks to Rubio Monocoat. To learn more about the extra shades we have, see our Premium Rubio Monocoat Finishes here.

  FAQ's

What Is a Walnut Wooden Bed?

A walnut wooden bed is a solid oak or pine frame finished in a rich, dark walnut stain. This creates a sophisticated look that highlights the natural grain of the timber while adding warmth and depth to your bedroom décor.

Why Choose a Walnut Finish for A Bed?

Walnut finishes are popular for their timeless elegance. They work well as statement pieces, offering a bold, premium look that suits both classic and modern interiors.

Do Walnut Wooden Beds Make a Room Look Smaller?

Dark finishes like walnut can create a more intimate feel in a bedroom. Paired with lighter walls or bedding, however, walnut beds provide contrast and character without overwhelming the space.

What Styles Are Available in Walnut Wooden Beds?

Yes. The walnut stain is applied with a protective lacquer that makes it simple to care for. Regular dusting and a light wipe with a damp cloth will keep the frame looking pristine.

Do Walnut Wooden Beds Suit Modern Décor?

Absolutely. While walnut has a classic feel, its richness pairs beautifully with minimalist or contemporary spaces, creating a striking centrepiece.
