A Smart, Sustainable Choice
If you’re seeking high-quality, solid pine bed frames at a low price, our range of hand-crafted, budget-friendly pine beds are waiting to transform your space.
From minimalist bed frames to those with added under bed storage, every solid pine bed frame in our collection offers something for everyone. Our versatile, cost-friendly pine beds bring a timeless appeal with a range of colours and decorative grains to match your preferences perfectly.
Pine vs Oak
In the furniture space, pine and oak are often pitted against each other. Pine is a softwood, meaning that it grows much quicker than hardwoods like oak. Some say this does compromise slightly on durability, but with the right choice of pine, your bed will last just as long, if not longer, than any other oak bed.
There are also some subtle differences in terms of aesthetics. Pine and oak have slightly different grain patterns, which can give a different look to both frames.
Still not sure? See the differences by viewing our oak bed frames.
The Benefits of Pine
Pine is used across loads of different kinds of furniture, and for good reasons. A workable material, it can be shaped and cut into various forms while still looking great. Other benefits include:
Natural Beauty: Our solid pine beds are available in a variety of finishes that are designed to complement all bedroom styles, helping your space feel cosy and inviting. Pine’s raw, organic aesthetic helps create a more open, airy atmosphere, whilst providing a rich, warm tone.
Affordable: Compared to other wooden bed options, pine is a more budget-friendly choice without compromising any strength or style.
Long -Lasting: Although pine is a softwood, our hand-picked Scandinavian Redwood pine is chosen for its durability and sturdiness. Each bed frame can be sprayed with a premium durable lacquer finish, ensuring resistance to dents and marks for decades of use.
Pine Bed Sizes
You can choose from a range of sizes, each catering to unique needs and preferences. Each solid pine bed in our range is built to fit the following UK mattress sizes:
- Single – 90 x 190cm (3’0” x 6’3”)
- Small double – 120 x 190cm (4’0” x 6’3”)
- Double – 135 x 190cm (4’6” x 6’3”)
- King – 150 x 200cm (5’0” x 6’6”)
- Super King – 180 x 200cm (6’0” x 6’6”)
- Emperor – 215 x 215cm (7’0” x 7’0”)

Pine Bed Styles
We offer pine variants across most of our product range, meaning that there’s no shortage of choice available. This includes:
Standard Height Beds: With a footboard height of 40 cm, these beds offer strong accessibility for most sleepers, as well as storage underneath the frame.
Low Wooden Beds: Being lower to the ground, a low wooden bed is a great choice for loft and attic conversions, providing a much smaller footprint than the average bed.
Platform Beds: Platform beds feature a wide, full-width frame design, providing a sturdy base for your mattress to sit on.
Beds With Headboards: Offering protection for your pillows and surrounding walls, a bed with a headboard offers various practical benefits.
Ottoman Storage Beds: If you need storage, an ottoman bed is your best bet. With their lifting base, all sorts of essentials can be kept directly within the bed frame itself.
Four Poster Beds: The tall design of a four poster bed has stood the test of time, with four vertical columns that make a statement no matter the room.
Solid Pine Bed Finishes
Pine is very easy to work with, which allows for even greater customisation with staining. We offer six high quality stains across our pine bed range, including dark and light shades:
Unfinished Wooden Beds: If you like the look of natural oak or pine, we can supply your bed in its raw material, with no lacquer.
White Wooden Beds: Is natural too dark? If so, our clear white stain adds a vibrant, matte finish to your bed frame - a great choice for contemporary rooms.
Light Wooden Beds: To protect the bed frame’s grain and patterns, we can apply a clear, water-based lacquer that showcases the natural finish, while adding protection.
Medium Wooden Beds: Our medium stain enhances the appearance of your wooden frame, adding a touch of warmth to your room.
Walnut Wooden Beds: As the second darkest finish we offer, a walnut frame oozes class and character, no matter the frame.
Black Wooden Beds: For a bold look, nothing beats a black stain. We use our darkest stain available to create a striking bed frame that makes a statement.
Solid Pine Bed Frames
FAQ's
Is Pine Wood A Good Option For Bed Frames?
Pine is used in many different forms of furniture, including bed frames. Despite its slightly different appearance from oak, with the right protection and maintenance, pine beds can last for many years.
Is Pine More Affordable Than Oak?
Yes, pine is generally a more affordable material than oak. This largely comes down to how long it takes to grow both materials. Pine is a much faster-growing material, which makes it more accessible and, therefore, less expensive.
Does A Pine Bed Last As Long As An Oak Bed?
A pine bed can last as long as an oak bed when cared for and maintained properly. Being a softwood, pine does show marks and scratches more easily than oak, but all of our solid pine frames are reinforced for added strength and built to last many decades.
What Finishes Are Available On Your Pine Beds?
We have a range of finishes available on our pine beds, including unfinished, light, medium stains, as well as walnut, black, and white finishes.
Are Your Pine Beds Made From Solid Wood?
Yes, all our pine beds are hand-crafted from the finest, sustainably sourced pine. We do not use any veneers or particleboard across any of our designs, and each pine frame is handmade to order in our UK workshop.
