Pine vs Oak

In the furniture space, pine and oak are often pitted against each other. Pine is a softwood, meaning that it grows much quicker than hardwoods like oak. Some say this does compromise slightly on durability, but with the right choice of pine, your bed will last just as long, if not longer, than any other oak bed.

There are also some subtle differences in terms of aesthetics. Pine and oak have slightly different grain patterns, which can give a different look to both frames.

Unfinished Wooden Beds: If you like the look of natural oak or pine, we can supply your bed in its raw material, with no lacquer.

White Wooden Beds: Is natural too dark? If so, our clear white stain adds a vibrant, matte finish to your bed frame - a great choice for contemporary rooms.

Light Wooden Beds: To protect the bed frame’s grain and patterns, we can apply a clear, water-based lacquer that showcases the natural finish, while adding protection.
