Model 03 Standard Height Solid Oak Wooden Bed
The Model 03 Standard Height Solid Oak Bed is a timeless, versatile design crafted to complement both modern and classic bedrooms. Handmade to order in Yorkshire, UK, from sustainably sourced solid oak, it combines natural character and lasting quality with everyday practicality. Its standard height provides 25cm of clearance underneath, making it easy to maximise your under-bed storage.
Designed with comfort and accessibility in mind, the standard-height frame makes getting in and out of bed easier while providing practical storage space beneath. It's a thoughtful choice for everyday living, combining a comfortable bed height with a beautifully crafted solid oak frame.
Each Model 03 solid oak bed is handmade to order by skilled craftsmen in the UK, with a focus on quality, durability and straightforward assembly. The frame is constructed using precision-machined mortise and tenon joints for exceptional strength and stability, and every bed comes with a 12-year guarantee, giving you confidence in your investment for years to come.
The solid oak frame is paired with strong, supportive pine slats, providing a dependable base for your mattress. We use pine for the slatted base because it is a practical choice for mattress support, allowing us to reserve the natural beauty and distinctive grain of solid oak for the main structure of the bed.
Prefer a more affordable alternative? The Model 03 is also available in beautiful, solid Scandinavian pine. With the same timeless design and expert craftsmanship at a lower price point, it's a lovely alternative if you prefer the lighter look of pine. Discover our solid Scandinavian pine bed here.

What to consider when buying a wooden bed frame
Choose your timber and finish
Every one of our wooden beds is handcrafted from your choice of sustainably sourced Scandinavian Pine or Solid European Oak. While both timbers are built using the same traditional joinery techniques and made to the same exacting standards, each offers its own unique appearance and character.
Scandinavian Pine provides a lighter, more relaxed aesthetic with subtle natural grain, making it an excellent choice for bright, contemporary interiors.
Solid European Oak offers a richer grain pattern and the premium feel of a hardwood, making it ideal for those looking for exceptional durability and timeless character.
Once you’ve chosen your timber, you can personalise your bed with our range of hand-applied finishes.
Premium Rubio Monocoat Finishes
We understand that selecting the perfect bed and ensuring it complements your décor is an important decision.
That’s why we offer a range of premium Rubio Monocoat finishes, available for oak bed frames at an additional cost.
Enhance your solid oak bed with stunning finishes such as Pure, Natural, Chocolate, and Walnut. The Natural finish, for example, offers a look that’s as close to raw wood as possible, while still delivering the strength and durability Rubio Monocoat is known for.
STRENGTH TESTED
Our beds are built to be exceptionally strong, sturdy and made to last. To put their strength to the test, we loaded a king size Model 02 bed frame with an impressive 930kg of weight to demonstrate just how robust our craftsmanship really is. Designed for everyday life and built with longevity in mind, you can rest easy knowing your bed is made to stand the test of time.
LEG STYLE
We have 3 distinct leg style options, allowing you to personalise your bed. The leg options available may vary depending on model choosen. Whether you prefer sleek, modern lines or a more classic, timeless design, our selection of leg styles provides the flexibility to create a bed that truly reflects your personal taste.
SLAT POSITION
We offer two slat position options: either level with the frame or recessed 50mm within it. This customization feature allows you to ensure your bed is tailored perfectly to your preference!
